HAPHOUSING IS NOW WAY FINDERS
Offering access to the cultural and commercial opportunities of a small, vibrant city, while supporting those in need of assistance, Live 155 highlights the values and ideals of the surrounding community. A former 58-room Single Room Occupancy building is being transformed into 70 studio and one-bedroom rental apartments and 2,600 square feet of retail space.
Downtown Northampton continues to remain a highly desirable and increasingly expensive place to live. Way Finders selected Northampton-based architect Peter Frothingham, in partnership with LDa Architecture & Interiors of Cambridge to develop Live 155—market-rate units, as well as subsidized affordable apartments to serve the diverse needs of the community. Eight apartments will be reserved for households earning less than 30% of AMI. Five apartments will be reserved for clients of MA Department of Mental Health. Supportive services will be available to building residents, facilitated by a Way Finders’ Resident Services Coordinator and provided by the City’s Veterans Services Department, ServiceNet, and Center for Human Development.
Live 155’s location offers easy access to numerous transportation options including bicycling, bus transportation via PVTA and Peter Pan, and Amtrak. the bike path, and it is also serviced by numerous public transportation options.
